Riser Pipes and Wire Guards Protectors for Copper and Fiber

Only Charles Industries offers a complete line of riser pipes and wire guards manufactured from UV stabilized, thinwall PVC to meet the need for large capacity buried copper, coaxial, fiber and hybrid service drops. PVC construction also means that these pipes and guards are lightweight, easy-to-handle, and can be cut on the job site easily with a hacksaw or knife. Charles Riser Pipes and Wire Guards are the ideal solution for providing neat, inexpensive protection against wind, snagging and vandalism for all buried service wire installations.

119 (7/8” outside diameter) and 219 (1 Ľ” outside diameter) Series Riser Pipes

Offsets and notches provide a neat service wire point of exit that matches up to most station protectors and network interface devices (NID). Buried elbows and bends provide protection from cut wires during digging in the vicinity of the buried service drops. End caps provide protection from rain, dirt and insect intrusion. Unions provide a convenient way of extending protection beyond standard lengths. Available in booth ˝” and 1” offsets.

122 (7/8” outside diameter) and 222 (1 Ľ” outside diameter) Series Wire Guards

Charles’ Wire Guards are specifically designed for use on telephone and power poles, protecting the service/ground wire well beyond the reach of vandals. Glancing blows are safely deflected without damaging the wire inside.

Split Risers for Fiber Optic Cables

Pre-connectorized fiber drops can be troublesome to protect with standard-sized riser pipes. Charles Split Risers allow technicians to protect fiber optic cables without having to force the bulky connector ends through the pipe. Instead, the cable can be easily inserted through the split design. The split edge is then mounted towards the premises wall, providing total coverage. Split Risers are available in 5” offset & notch (12-119S) and 5” straight (12-119-1S) models.
