The BPSC-K100 kit for a splice closure
provides environmental protection for cable butt splice bundles in pedestal installations.
When assembled and installed, the
kit becomes a sealed bag (closure). The standard size BPSC-K100 mounts over butt splice
bundles within buried cable housings or pedestals measuring up to 7" in diameter and
15" in height.
Pedestals can be used at splice locations,
subscriber distribution locations and transmission access locations. The BPSC-K100 can
also be used in aerial applications within any aerial enclosure.
- Protects against humidity (up to, but not
including 100%), gas, frost, dust, sunlight and insect infestation
- Long-lasting, anti-aging bag is internally
treated with active antioxidants that inhibit long-term aging effects
(thermo-oxidative-degradation) of polymeric materials and provide a stable environment for
cable splices
- Nonconductive: all internal and external
surfaces
- Desiccant bag promotes dryness in splice
enclosure
- May be ordered as a single kit, a carton (10
kits), a master carton (3 cartons/30 kits) or a pallet (6 master cartons/180 kits)
