Secondary
power distribution pedestals
Charles
Industries’ CPLP Secondary Power Distribution Series Pedlock are ideally
suited for distribution of buried services where an aesthetically pleasing
pedestal is required. These non-metallic, PVC constructed pedestals are
non-conductive and provide excellent environmental protection, including
resistance to floods, fire, grit, rodents and vandals. An enlarged, cupped
base provides stability and resistance to pull-out, settling or frost
heave in virtually all soil conditions.
CPLP
pedestals have a low profile design, with as little as 18” of above
ground height. The dome is secured by a recessed ½” penta-head bolt
within a cupped locking assembly which accepts either padlocks or tamper
seals. The dome lifts off, affording 360º access to the generous splicing
area for feeder service distribution.

| Compared
to hand holes, CPLP pedestals are lighter and easier to install. They
offer more working area for splices and taps, and allow field technicians
to work from their feet, not their knees. Unlike many hand holes, CPLP
pedestals will not fill with water, making for cleaner and safer working
conditions. |
