Charles Fiber Transition Termimals (CFTT) are commonly referred to in the industry as fiber network interface devices (NID). The NID serves as a customer demarcation point for fiber entering the customer premises. CFTT are often used to store fiber before service turn-up. They protect fiber drops from the elements, and provide organized fiber slack storage. Fiber bend controls ensure proper bend radius requirements are met. The CFTT100MN/ALO includes storage of a fiber-coax media converter at the customer premises, with splice termination and slack management capability on the reverse of the mounting plate.

This CFTT model is primarily used to house a fiber/coax media converter when video services are being offered via fiber optic cable. Fiber termination and slack management is accomplished on the reverse side of the inner mounting plate. Approximate Dimensions: 10.25” H x 8.5” W x 3”D

The CFTT100MC/HIT model houses a Hitachi® Node+Zero Media Converter, creating a convenient FTTP solution for MSO and telcos. A splice holder and fiber tray, with slack management, are located on the rear panel of the inner mounting plate. Approximate Dimensions: 10.25” H x 8.5” W x 3”D
