Charles Building Entrance Housings are lightweight, universal metal cabinets available in a variety of sizes for indoor and outdoor protection of communications equipment. Constructed of 16-gauge aluminum, each housing features a swingout door with hex-head door latches. A heavy-duty equipment mounting backboard, constructed of chemically treated 1/2” plywood, is included with all models. All surfaces are plated and finished in a standards based telco green color. Pre-drilled mounting holes allow the housings to be surface or stud mounted.

Charles Building Entrance Housings are designed to house of a wide variety of communications equipment, including terminals (protected or unprotected, and multi-station), distribution equipment and cable, repeater equipment, load coils, cross connects, saturable inductors, impedance compensators, cable mounting equipment, and grounding apparatus.

Features:

• Hex-head door latches and a rubber sealing gasket secure the door shut and create a weatherproof interior chamber  
• Drip channel on the top of the cabinet channels water away from interior
• Tamper-resistant door hinges are constructed of aluminum for corrosion resistance
