  • Eliminates manual switch gear
  • Increases safety
  • Adds convenience

Superior Technology Guarantees Top Performance

  • Interlock controlled contactors insure proper connection

Eliminates Manual Switch Gear

  • No need for rotary switches and slide bar lockouts
  • All switching is done automatically

Increases Safety

  • No possibility of crossed connections

Adds Convenience

  • No more trips to the engine room when changing power sources
  • Automatically senses available inputs
  • Parallels available power to both AC panels
  • May be manually overridden for emergencies

Builder/Installer Friendly

  • Terminal blocks for all connections
  • Eliminates heavy main wiring to pilot house

AC Automatic Master Control
Shore power is the dominant input (master).  Five seconds after shore power is energized with the genset running the AC master control will take the genset off line and after a three second delay automatically engage the shore power.

Automatic A/B Selector Switch A/B Selector

The A/B Selector is a 2-input, 1-output auto-selector utilizing a "primary/
secondary" selection method for input.  When connecting to dockside power,
the 9R-ABSEL50I-C (240v) and the 9R-ABSEL30/50-C (120v) will automatically sense the incoming dockside AC source and transfer it to the output.  When adequate AC power appears on the Primary input, the Secondary input is immediately disconnected and locked-out from operation (even if already in operation).

Benefits:

  • NEMA Type 3 Enclosure
White, non-conductive polycarbonate material, allowing for safe isolation of AC power.

  • Easy to Install
Flange mounted with top-side AC terminals.

  • Mechanical A to B Lockout
Mechanically interlocked to inhibit simultaneous operation

  • Electrical A to B Lockout
Components are electrically locked-out to inhibit simultaneous operation.

  • 120 Volt or 240 Volt 50 Hz or 60 Hz Input
    The 9R-ABSEL50I-C is for 220 or 240vac.  The 9R-ABSEL30/50-C is for 115 or 120vac.

  • Up to 50 AMPS Per Input
Each input is rated to accommodate three wires plus ground at 50 AMPS at 120 or 240vac.

AC Master Control for Totally Automatic AC Input

Builder's Requirements

Maximize AC input capabilities and flexibility.

  1. Automatic selection of first in (fore or aft) connection with auto lock out of second source.
  2. Electrically isolate the yacht from the dock.
  3. Boost 208 dock voltage to 230 volts.
  4. Supply 220 volts to the panel from 110 volt input.
  5. Sense AC input sources and direct power to the panel.
  6. Do all of the above automatically without manual switchgear.

Charles Solution:

  1. Install one 93-ABSEL501-A to automatically select the 220V50 amp input and one 93-ABSEL30/50 to automatically select the 110V 30 amp input.
  2. One 93-ISOBOOST50-A on the 220V input and one 93-IXFMR3/8-A on the 110V input accomplish these requirements.
  3. A 93-IXFMR3/8I can be wired for 110V 30 amp in and 220V 15 amp out.
  4. The 93-ACMC50I-A senses AC input and directs the current to the panel.
